What can Dental Implants do for you?

Dental implants are artificial dental roots. Dental Implants are typically used for replacing missing teeth that have been lost via accidents, gum disease, failed root canals, or decayed teeth. Studies have shown that a quarter of all adults lose all their permanent teeth in their seventies.

Unfortunately there are very few alternatives to dental implants. There are dental bridges and removable dentures but they caused all sorts of problems. Bridges can adjust healthy teeth and dentures can decrease bone density in areas of missing teeth.

Typical implants are made of three parts. There's the titanium part, the abutment part, and the crown part. This is better than fixed bridges because they don't contribute to the loss of adjacent teeth.

Dentures come with many problems and discomforts. They might slip around in your mouth or make clicking sounds and restrict your ability to eat comfortably everyday.
